| | Catamount Trail is not very near Laconia at all but hiking along this trail is very enjoyable. High temperatures at Catamount Trail through the warm months are in the 80's, and the overnight is slightly chillier of course, frequently in the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Catamount Trail temperatures plunge to the 0's. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can pop by Hayes Swamp Dam, and there are plenty of people from Laconia here.

Just getting warmed up. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Little Suncook, and Catamount Trail is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Circle 9 Ranch Campground is a glorious local campground. Get your pulse rate up on the perfect
| whitewater of Suncook River, and while you're here, you could check out Little Bear Brook.
Catamount Trail sees pretty high levels of rainfall; during the month of November you get the most rain around here while January is typically the driest month. There's so much to do here at Catamount Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Twin Oaks Campground is a good spot for that; why not stop by close by Catamount Brook if you're here at Catamount Trail. While visiting this area in New Hampshire it's a good idea to go hiking too.
