Not far from Chippewa Trail you can enjoy the trees of Black Mountain State Forest, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Wild Ammonoosuc River. Chippewa Trail gets a normal amount of rainfall; most of the rain falls through August while February is generally the driest month. Summertime highs at Chippewa Trail mostly tend to be in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's.
