You'll have to go far from Berlin to get to Deception Trail but it sure is a nice trail. Halfway Brook flows through this region. A glorious spot for whitewater paddling next to Deception Trail is Ammonoosuc River, and Deception Trail is a good site to visit for more than one day, Tarry-ho-cottages is a good site to camp nearby.

| offer, you can camp at Israel River Campground. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Deception Trail. During the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Deception Trail temperatures plunge to the 0's.
Upper Falls is an inspiring place to stop by while here; at Deception Trail you always meet someone from Berlin. In the White Mountains there are many great hiking trails where wonderful nature is waiting for you. While visiting this area in New Hampshire it's a good idea to go hiking too.
