Brook Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Swift River. From a rainfall point of view Downes Brook Trail is a reasonably typical spot; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February.

| came to camp Pass Campground is a fine location to do that, and get your pulse rate up on the brilliant whitewater of Swift River. This river is so perfect. The Bowl is a glorious place here at Downes Brook Trail, and camping at Passaconaway Campground is always a delightful experience. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Downes Brook Trail. For the period of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are commonly in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Downes Brook Trail.
