| | Put on your hiking shoes and hit the trail, Great Gulf Trail in Coos County, New Hampshire is a really good place to spend some time. Hiking trails are all over the White Mountains, it's a great hiking area. Nineteen Brook is right next door to Great Gulf Trail and is always a joy to pop by. A delightful location to camp here at Great Gulf Trail is Timberland Camping Area, and Peabody River has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby.

temperatures are in the 50's. Highs all through the winter are usually in the 20's, and overnight lows at Great Gulf Trail through the wintertime typically dip into the 0's. So many enjoyable things to do in the White Mountains, not enough time. Take a little tour to West Branch
| Peabody River while you're here at Great Gulf Trail, and in the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Peabody River - West Branch. No chance of getting bored in New Hampshire if you like the outdoors.
Great Gulf is right next door to Great Gulf Trail and is a fine location, and why not camp at White Birches Mountain Camping Park if you're here at Great Gulf Trail. You'll have to go far from Berlin to get to Great Gulf Trail but it is a fun place to hike for the whole family. The high level of rainfall makes Great Gulf Trail a pretty wet site; most of the rain falls throughout August, and January is the month with the least moisture.
