| | In the White Mountains there are many great hiking trails where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. While visiting this area in New Hampshire it's a good idea to go hiking too. It's a long drive from Berlin to Isolation Trail but it is a great escape from the city. Isolation Trail is a wet place that gets lots of rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain; January is when it's the driest.

Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Isolation Trail dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Isolation Trail has to offer, you can camp at Glen Ellis Family Campground.
