  If you are in New Hampshire during hiking season you have to go hiking. Time to get out and breathe some fresh air, and McCrills Trail in Grafton County, New Hampshire is just what you need. Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the White Mountains where beautiful scenery awaits you.
Stay the night at Passaconaway Campground, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try East Branch Whiteface River. So much fun stuff next to McCrills Trail, just tremendous. White Brook is a nice local stream. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to McCrills
    Trail. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while McCrills Trail nighttime low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 0's.
McCrills Trail is a long drive away from Laconia but there's
great natural beauty awaiting you along it. From a rain point of view McCrills Trail is a relatively common site; August is the month that gets the most rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. A pleasant visit to The Bowl is a brilliant way to spend an afternoon, and if you come at the right time of year, Swift River offers some great whitewater.
Pass Campground is a brilliant campground nearby, and Whiteface Intervale is a good site to stretch your legs a bit. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the White Mountains. While you're here at McCrills Trail you will meet lots of people from close by Laconia, and there are some delightful whitewater spots on Swift River.
