| | Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in nature a bit and if you happen to be in Carroll County of New Hampshire, Mead Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Just can't get enough of the White Mountains. Here at Mead Trail you'll probably meet some folks from Laconia; you can run the rapids of Mad River. New Hampshire has so much to offer nature lovers.
From a rain point of view Mead Trail is a pretty common place; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is the month with the least |
moisture. Arcadia Tent and Trailer Park is a great campground here; get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of Smarts Brook.
Summertime at Mead Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. The cold days
| of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Mead Trail dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. A tour to Mead Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Beede Falls; camping at Mead Trail is great fun, Arcadia Campground is a great local campground. In the White Mountains there are many great hiking trails where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains.
It's a long drive from Laconia to Mead Trail but you always have a good time when you're hiking along it. | |
