| | Moat Mountain Trail being so far away from the nearest city hiking it is great fun any time. We all need to get out in nature once in a while and if you happen to be in Carroll County of New Hampshire, Moat Mountain Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Moat Mountain Trail gets much water; the month of November is the wettest with most of the snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
Green Meadow Camping Area is a great campground here, and Thompson Falls is always fun to check out. Hiking trails |
like this one are plentyful in the White Mountains where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains. Take a side trip to Rocky Branch; get dripping wet paddling on Rocky Branch.
I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a pleasant time here at Moat Mountain Trail. Cow Brook
| is a delightful local stream, and whitewater paddling is good on Swift River. With so many outdoors activities available in New Hampshire you'll never get bored.
Summer at Moat Mountain Trail comes with high temperatures in the 50's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are commonly in the 10's with temperatures at Moat Mountain Trail dipping down into the-10's through winter nights. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the White Mountains. If you came for an overnight stay Glen Ellis Family Campground is a magnificent place to camp, and Dianas Baths is a brilliant local attraction. | |
