| | Hiking here in New Hampshire is a must. There are many wonderful hiking trails in the White Mountains where beautiful scenery awaits you. Throughout the summertime here at Piper Trail, high temperatures typically get into the 50's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Piper Trail are in the-10's. Hitting the trails is always a fun thing to do and if you happen to be in Carroll County of New Hampshire, Piper Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg |
stretching.
You'll have to go far from Laconia to get to Piper Trail but hiking it is always fun. Piper Trail is a good spot to camp, Blackberry Crossing Campground is a good spot, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Stony Brook.
This is such a wonderful river.
| Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Wonalancet. Piper Trail is a wet spot that gets a good deal of rain; the month of November is the wettest with most of the snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the White Mountains. Pine Knoll Camp Ground and RV Resort is a great campground here, and there are some good whitewater spots on Swift River.
