| | There are many hiking trails in the White Mountains where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. Rainbow Trail is a very long way away from civilization and it sure is a nice trail. Ellis River is a great whitewater spot next to Rainbow Trail, and Rainbow Trail is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Green Meadow Camping Area is a pleasant local campground. A tremendous place for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Rainbow Trail is Peabody River.
