These mountains rock, just check out all the fun things to do in the White Mountains. Whitewater paddling is great on Ellis River, and camping at Rainbow Trail is good fun, Green Meadow Camping Area is a good local campground. |

Perkins Notch is a pleasant site to discover, and if you came for an overnight stay Crawford Notch General Store and Campground is a delightful location to camp. Rainbow Trail is a good place of typical rain; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here while
| January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
A river like this is too good to miss. If you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Peabody River. For the period of the long summer days here at Rainbow Trail, high temperatures regularly reach the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Rainbow Trail are in the 0's. Rainbow Trail is very far from the nearest big city and hiking along this trail is very enjoyable.
