| | Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the White Mountains where beautiful scenery awaits you. If you come at the right time of year, Beebe River offers some pleasant whitewater, and swing by Bennett Brook it's a nice place to explore. From a rainfall point of view Ridgepole Trail is a rather normal site; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest.

A glorious place to camp here at Ridgepole Trail is Squam Lakes Camp Resorts, and there are some fine whitewater spots on Smarts Brook. Pretty far from Laconia you find Ridgepole
| Trail but hiking it is great fun any time. For the duration of the long summer days here at Ridgepole Trail, high temperatures commonly get into the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's with temperatures at Ridgepole Trail dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights.
If you want a nice time in the great outdoors just come on up to the White Mountains. You'll meet a lot of people from Laconia here, and why not a little side journey to West Brook. | |
