Slide Trail is a trail quite far from Laconia but hiking is such a fun thing to do and this is a great place to do that. Some of the water close by flows, like Downes Brook; camping is available at Passaconaway Campground. There are some perfect whitewater spots on Swift River, and camping at Pass Campground is always a good experience. New Hampshire is a good place for outdoors people.
