| | A long drive separates Laconia from South Slide, but there's great natural beauty awaiting you along it. You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while and if you happen to be in Grafton County of New Hampshire, South Slide is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. This is such a great river. Cold Brook flows through this area, and Lost Pass is a great spot to spend some time. Outdoors people generally like this part of New Hampshire. way to enjoy these mountains. That right there is a load of amusing stuff already but it goes on, the White Mountains has it all. South Slide is good enough to spend more than a day at, Passaconaway Campground is a good local campground; whitewater paddling is splendid on Swift
| River. During the summertime at South Slide highs are frequently in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are regularly in the 20's while the cold winter nights at South Slide are in the 0's. A typical amount of rainfall falls here at South Slide; the wettest month of the year is generally August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February. There's so much to do here at South Slide that you need to camp here for a while, Pass Campground is a splendid spot for that; get covered with water paddling on Sawyer River. | |
