| | This part of New Hampshire is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. From a rainfall point of view South Slide is a rather normal site; through August this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. South Slide is a long drive away from Laconia but what a great place for hiking it is. Cold Brook flows through this area, and South Slide is a nice spot to visit for more than one day, Passaconaway Campground is a nice spot to camp nearby. You just must fancy the White Mountains. Get your pulse rate up on the fine whitewater |
of Swift River; if you're here, you might as well explore Lost Pass. At South Slide throughout the warm months highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to
| South Slide. In the White Mountains there are many great hiking trails where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains. A tremendous place for whitewater paddling near South Slide is Sawyer River, and Pass Campground is a great campground nearby. You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while and South Slide in Grafton County, New Hampshire is a really good place to spend some time. | |
