Pretty far from Laconia you find Walden Trail but it is a good trail. | and there are some glorious whitewater spots on Swift River. A pleasant trip to The Bowl is a glorious way to spend an afternoon; get yourself into a kayak and hit Swift River. All through the warm days of summer at Walden Trail temperatures are regularly in the 70's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Walden Trail are in the 0's.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at Walden Trail. The surroundings of this river have so much to offer. Birch Intervale is a great place to stretch your legs a bit, and camping is available at Pass Campground. | |
