Put on your hiking shoes and hit the trail, Wamsutta Trail in Coos County, New Hampshire is a really good place to spend some time. This part of New Hampshire is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season.
The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Wamsutta Trail. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are mostly in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Wamsutta Trail. |
A great place to visit right next door to Wamsutta Trail is Jefferson Ravine. White Birches Mtn Camping Park is a magnificent campground here, and a quick journey to Chandler Brook is positively a great idea.
Wamsutta Trail is a wet place that gets lots of rain; of all the
| months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. This river is so perfect. Camping at Wamsutta Trail is wonderful fun, Timberland Camping Area is a wonderful local campground, and there's whitewater on Dry River for all you adrenaline junkies. Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the White Mountains where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains.
You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the White Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Peabody River - West Branch, and obviously Parapet Brook flows through this vicinity. | |
