  Waterville Cutoff Trail is not very near Laconia at all but it sure is a nice trail. Outdoors people generally like this part of New Hampshire. There are many wonderful hiking trails in the White Mountains where wonderful nature is waiting for you. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the White Mountains. Waterville Cutoff Trail is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Passaconaway Campground is a magnificent local campground, and in case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sawyer River.
Ledge Brook
    is one of the streams nearby that might be worth going to; Swift River is a magnificent whitewater spot close by. This is such a wonderful river. Horne Brook is a stream that you may come across during your stay. There's so much to do here at Waterville Cutoff Trail that you need
to camp here for a while, Pass Campground is a nice place for that. For the period of the summertime highs here at Waterville Cutoff Trail reach the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Waterville Cutoff Trail temperatures sink to the 0's.
