Wildcat Ridge Trail is a wet spot that gets a great deal of precipitation; through November this area sees the most snow, and July on the other hand is the driest. This river is so perfect. Soar down the rapids of Peabody River - West Branch in a kayak.

Area is a fine place to camp. Why not camp at White Birches Mtn Camping Park if you're here at Wildcat Ridge Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Ellis River. Wildcat Ridge Trail is quite far from the nearest urban center and it is a great escape from the city.
