| | It's a long drive from New York-Newark-Edison to Cannonball Trail but trails like these are great. New Jersey is a good place for outdoors people. Some nearby water includes MacMillan Brook, and one of the best things about this place is its proximity to Old Sebago Beach. Through the warm months, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Cannonball Trail with overnight lows in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Cannonball Trail through the winter frequently descend into the 10's.

a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pequannock River; camping is available at Robert Moses. All the water falling down from the sky makes Cannonball Trail a wet place; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest
