| | It's a long drive from Santa Fe to Atalaya Trail but when you hike it you're always having a good time. Outdoors people generally like this part of New Mexico. A short trip to Aztec Spring is always worthwhile, and if you came for an overnight stay Tesuque Pueblo RV Campground is a nice location to camp. Visiting Santa Fe National Historic Trail is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and a great location close by is Arroyo Mora. the driest month. At Atalaya Trail you always meet someone from Santa Fe, and Rancheros Campground is a fine campground nearby. Through the summer months at Atalaya Trail highs are usually in the 90's with night lows in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's
