A visit to New Mexico is not complete without some hiking. It is very dried out here at BS Canyon Trail mostly; August is when you get the most rain here; April meanwhile is the driest month. In the San Francisco Mountains there are many great hiking trails where beautiful scenery awaits you. BS Canyon Trail is a very long way away from civilization and hiking along this trail is very enjoyable. Man, is there     lots of exciting things to do in the San Francisco Mountains. Camping at BS Canyon Trail is pleasant fun, Ben Lilly Campground is a pleasant local campground, and if you come at the right time of year, Gila River offers some brilliant whitewater. All through the summertime at BS Canyon Trail highs are typically in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at BS Canyon Trail dipping down into the 10's during winter nights.
