  Hiking here in New Mexico is a must. During the summertime months highs here at Barber Springs Trail get into the 90's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. Through the wintertime highs are typically in the 50's, and nighttime lows through the wintertime for Barber Springs Trail tend to be in the 20's. Alright, enough of spending all this time inside a building, time to get out, and if you happen to be in Lincoln County of New Mexico, Barber Springs Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching.
    You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Sacramento Mountains has to offer. If you came for an overnight stay Nogal Lake Campground is a magnificent place to camp; Coal Dump Canyon is a fine spot to explore. Mountain Springs Ranch Recreational Vehicle Park is
a brilliant local campground, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at White Oaks Spring. Because Barber Springs Trail is very far from civilization hiking it is great fun any time.

There are many wonderful hiking trails in the Sacramento Mountains where beautiful scenery awaits you. A visit to Barber Springs Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Barber Spring.
