  A long drive separates Silver City from Black Canyon Trail, but hiking along this trail is very enjoyable. Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the Black Range where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains. Black Canyon Trail gets very little precipitation; during the month of July you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is April.
Hitting the trails is always a fun thing to do and Black Canyon Trail in Grant County, New Mexico is such a great place. This is such a fun river. Looking for some flowing water? Try
    Apache Creek, and Black Canyon Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Scorpion Corral Campground is a great local campground. And that's not all you can do here in the Black Range. In the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling
on Gila River, and do put some time aside to spend at Eddie Spring if you're here at Black Canyon Trail.
Hiking here in New Mexico is a must. A good site to camp here at Black Canyon Trail is Mesa Campground, and a splendid spot close by is Black Canyon.
For the duration of the warm days of summer highs here at Black Canyon Trail get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 50's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Black Canyon Trail.
