  Hitting the trails is always a fun thing to do and Black Peak Trail in Grant County, New Mexico is just what you need. This part of New Mexico is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. Black Peak Trail gets very little rainfall; the month with most of the rain is July, and April is the month with the least moisture. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Black Peak Trail while night lows are frequently in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 50's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Black
    Peak Trail temperatures plunge to the 10's.
Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the Black Range where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains. And if that's not enough there's heaps more exciting things to do in the Black Range. Get yourself into a kayak and hit
Gila River, and McMillan Spring is an inspiring location to have a look at while you're here.
You'll need more than a day to look at everything Black Peak Trail has to offer, you can camp at Cherry Creek Campground, and at Black Peak Trail you always meet someone from Silver City. Black Peak Trail is not very near Silver City at all but it is a good trail.
Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument is a splendid local destination here at Black Peak Trail, and you can stay the night at McMillan Campground.
