Mark: I haven't hiked in this area in a while, because a private land owner has put up a gate and blocked access to this Trailhead and Cole Springs Picnic Area.

Canoncito Trail is a location that is pretty dried out mostly; August is when you get the most rain here while November is regularly the driest month. There's so much to do here at Canoncito Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Turquoise Trail Campgrounds is a great place for that, and don't leave Canoncito Trail without first paying a visit to Torro Spring.
