| | New Mexico is a great place for hikers. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Chamiza Trail; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 40's while Chamiza Trail nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's.
Whitewater paddling is splendid on Rio Santa Cruz, and popping by Santa Fe National Historic Trail is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. Chamiza Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Big Tesuque Campground is a great local campground, and camping |
at Tesuque Pueblo RV Campground is always a good experience. Get covered with water paddling on Rio Grande; lots of folks from Santa Fe come here.
Chamiza Trail gets very little rainfall; August is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is February. Gotta get out of the city man, and Chamiza Trail in Santa Fe County, New Mexico is a perfect place for getting out.
