  Many miles from the nearest city you have Cowboy Trail and hiking along this trail is very enjoyable. While visiting this area in New Mexico it's a good idea to go hiking too. Around Cowboy Trail you don’t get a lot of rain; the wettest month of the year is typically August, that's the one that rains the most; March on the other hand is the driest. In the Black Range there are many great hiking trails, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains.
A short visit to Twentyfive Yard Spring is always worthwhile; nearby you hit upon Nave Canyon which
    is a delightful place to take a look at. Cowboy Trail is a glorious spot to visit for more than one day, Luna Park Campground is a glorious spot to camp nearby. For the duration of the long summer days highs here at Cowboy Trail reach the 80's. Summer overnight lows sink down to
the 50's. During the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Cowboy Trail are in the 10's.
Having a delightful time in the Black Range is simple. San Mateo Spring is a charming place to pop by while you're at Cowboy Trail, and Springtime Campground is a great local campground. Put on your hiking shoes and hit the trail, Cowboy Trail in Socorro County, New Mexico is a good choice.
