  In the San Francisco Mountains there are many great hiking trails where wonderful nature is waiting for you. It's a long drive from Silver City to Granny Mountain Trail but it sure is a nice trail. Finally, hiking time is here again, and Granny Mountain Trail in Grant County, New Mexico is a great place to go.
If you are in New Mexico during hiking season you have to go hiking. Grapevine Spring is a great local attraction. There's so much to do here at Granny

Cliff Dwellings National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Granny Mountain Trail has to offer, you can camp at Scorpion Corral Campground. Rock Spring is a wonderful location to check out while you're at Granny Mountain Trail. Get wet paddling on Gila River, and there are plenty of people from Gila here. Gila National Forest is a good location to stretch your legs a bit. The warmest  
time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Granny Mountain Trail. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 50's while Granny Mountain Trail night low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's.
