| | There are many hiking trails in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. New Mexico is a great outdoors state. Kit Carson Trail is a location that is relatively dried up commonly; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February.
Throughout the months of summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Kit Carson Trail, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 30's with temperatures at Kit Carson Trail dipping down into the 0's all |
through winter nights. This is a popular spot for folks from Taos, and nearby Burnt Ridge Canyon is a glorious location to go.
Kit Carson Trail is not very near Taos at all but hiking it is always fun. A brilliant place for whitewater paddling near Kit Carson Trail is Red River.
| There's so much to do here at Kit Carson Trail that you need to camp here for a while, La Sombra Campground is a wonderful place for that. Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in nature a bit and Kit Carson Trail in Taos County, New Mexico is a really good place to spend some time.
