At La Luz Trail during the summertime months highs are in the 90's. During the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at La Luz Trail temperatures sink to the 20's. La Luz Trail gets very little precipitation; through August this area sees the most rain while November is mostly the driest month. Do pay a visit to Petroglyph National Monument if     you're here at La Luz Trail; you can stay the night at Turquoise Trail Campgrounds. Jemez River is a pleasant whitewater spot in the neighborhood of La Luz Trail; a great location to visit nearby is Sandia Crest. You're sure to stumble upon some nice folks from Albuquerque here, and Albuquerque North Koa is a great campground nearby.
