| | Lemitas Trail is a trail quite far from Espanola but hiking it is great fun any time. Summertime at Lemitas Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Lemitas Trail tend to be in the 10's. The smiling folks of Espanola like to hang out close by; Bandelier National Monument is a very delightful place to go to.
Whitewater paddling is perfect on Rio Ojo Caliente, and if you came for an |
overnight stay Abiquiu Inn is a good site to camp. Put on your hiking shoes and hit the trail, Lemitas Trail in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico is the outdoors at it's best.
Lemitas Trail gets very little precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February
| meanwhile is the driest month. So much cool stuff in the San Juan Mountains, just incredible. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rio Chama, and Cottonwood RV Park is a great campground here. No chance of getting bored in New Mexico if you like the outdoors.
