  Lost Lake Trail is a trail quite far from Taos but when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person. Through the long summer days, highs mostly are in the 80's at Lost Lake Trail. During the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's. For the duration of the winter the highs are frequently in the 30's; night lows during the winter for Lost Lake Trail tend to be in the 0's. Hiking in New Mexico is such a great thing to do.
If you came to camp Italianos Campground is a splendid site to do that, and great water scenery is available
    at Lost Lake Dam in the neighborhood of Lost Lake Trail. There's so much to do here at Lost Lake Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Twining Campground is a great place for that. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, not enough time. There
are some magnificent whitewater spots on Red River, and La Cal Basin is a striking place any time of year.
Around Lost Lake Trail you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is August, and February on the other hand is the driest. There are many hiking trails in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, it's a great hiking area. When was the last time you got out in nature a bit? Lost Lake Trail in Taos County, New Mexico is just the place.
