North End Trail is a long drive away from Taos but if you're looking for a good place to go hiking this is a good choice. If you come at the right time of year, Rio Grande offers some magnificent whitewater, and you can stay the night at Agua Piedra Campground.
Yep, outdoors amusing stuff truly is abundant here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Canon Tio Maes is next to North End Trail and is a great site, and North End Trail is a
    great spot to camp, Comales Campground is a great spot. High temperatures at North End Trail throughout the summertime are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at
North End Trail temperatures sink to the 0's. It is very waterless here at North End Trail mostly; August is the wettest month with most rain, and January is when it's the driest.
