  Pretty far from Taos you find North End Trail but many people like to hike here to be close to nature. Gotta get out of the city man, and North End Trail in Taos County, New Mexico is just the place. While visiting this area in New Mexico it's a good idea to go hiking too.
Canon Tio Maes is a good spot to have a look at close to North End Trail, and camping is available at Agua Piedra Campground. So much enjoyable stuff in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, just tremendous. Soar down the rapids of Rio Grande in a kayak; a good site to camp here at
    North End Trail is Comales Campground. Paddling on Rio Pueblo de Taos is so much fun; you're sure to stumble upon some fine people from Taos here.
Not much rain falls here at North End Trail; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while January is the month
with the least amount of precipitation. That right there is plenty already, but it continues; North End Trail has it all. A short journey to Ojito Maes Spring is always worthwhile, and a tour to North End Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Apache Springs.
In the Sangre De Cristo Mountains you'll find lots of hiking trails, it's a great hiking area. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to North End Trail, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. All through the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 30's with temperatures at North End Trail dipping down into the 0's during winter nights.
