If you are in New Mexico during hiking season you have to go hiking. High temperatures at Padilla Trail during the warm days of summer are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 50's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Padilla Trail plunge into the 20's. Upper Padilla Spring is a pretty place to go to while you're at Padilla     Trail, and a fine location to camp here at Padilla Trail is Mountain High RV Park. Alright, enough of spending all this time inside a building, time to get out, and Padilla Trail in Lincoln County, New Mexico is a really good place to spend some time. Padilla Trail gets very little rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and April on the other hand is the driest. But wait, there's more entertaining stuff to do in the Sacramento Mountains. Santa Rita Canyon is a perfect spot to look at, and a short journey to Padilla Spring is always worthwhile. Padilla Trail is a very long way away from civilization and many people like to hike here to be close to nature.
