| | Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, it's a great hiking area. Hitting the trails is always a fun thing to do and Palacio Trail in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico is just the place. Pretty far from Espanola you find Palacio Trail but hiking along this trail is very enjoyable. Palacio Trail is a location that is quite dry usually; August is the month that gets the most rain while February is mostly the driest month.
Why not camp at Abiquiu Inn while you're here at Palacio Trail; in case you don’t mind getting |
soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rio Chama. If you came for an overnight stay Cottonwood RV Park is a brilliant spot to camp, and a tour to Bandelier National Monument is worthwhile.
This part of New Mexico has a great deal of available outdoors activities.
| That right there is a heap of cool things already but it goes on, the San Juan and Jemez Mountains has it all. Here at Palacio Trail you'll in all probability meet some folks from Espanola, and whitewater paddling is great on Rio Ojo Caliente.
Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Palacio Trail, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Palacio Trail. | |
