  Quemazon Trail is located quite a long drive from Los Alamos but hiking it is great fun any time. Hiking trails are all over the San Juan and Jemez Mountains where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains. Hitting the trails is always a fun thing to do and Quemazon Trail in Los Alamos County, New Mexico is a perfect place for getting out.
You simply have to adore the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. During your trip to Quemazon Trail you'll meet some folks from Los Alamos for sure. There's so much to do here at Quemazon Trail that you need to camp
    here for a while, Las Conchas Campground is a brilliant site for that. New Mexico is a great place for hikers. Through the months of summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Quemazon Trail. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. For the period of
the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 40's; overnight lows through the wintertime for Quemazon Trail tend to be in the 10's.
A journey to Bandelier National Monument is recommended. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Quemazon Trail has to offer, you can camp at Juniper Campground. Paddling on Rio Chama is so much fun. Whitewater paddling is good on Rio Grande, and while you're here, you might as well stop at Quemazon Canyon.
Not much rain falls here at Quemazon Trail; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February.
