There are many wonderful hiking trails in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. Redonda Trail gets very little rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here while April is regularly the driest month. Redonda Trail is a nice place to visit for more than one day, Rio las Vacas Campground is a nice place to camp nearby, and a quick trip to Rito Redondo is definitely a wonderful idea.
