  It's a long drive from Silver City to Ring Canyon Trail but it is a fun place to hike for the whole family. Not much rain falls here at Ring Canyon Trail; July is the month that gets the most rain while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Can’t wait to get out in nature, Ring Canyon Trail in Catron County, New Mexico is such a great place.
Summertime highs at Ring Canyon Trail frequently tend to be in the 90's. Summer night lows dip down to the 60's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 50's, and all through
    the dark hours in the wintertime at Ring Canyon Trail temperatures drop to the 20's. No chance of getting bored in New Mexico if you like the outdoors. Soar down the rapids of Gila River in a kayak; if you came to camp Dipping Vat Campground is a great site to do that.
And
that's not all there is to do here in the San Francisco Mountains. A great spot in the neighborhood of Ring Canyon Trail is Nat Straw Canyon. There's so much to do here at Ring Canyon Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Scorpion Corral Campground is a great place for that. Hiking trails are all over the San Francisco Mountains where wonderful nature is waiting for you.
