Santa Fe National Historic Trail is one of the destinations right next door to Rio Capulin Trail that are wonderful to go to; if you come at the right time of year, Rio Santa Cruz offers some splendid whitewater. Don't leave Rio Capulin Trail without first paying a visit to Sarca Spring, and a pleasant place |
to camp here at Rio Capulin Trail is Big Tesuque Campground.
A long drive separates Santa Fe from Rio Capulin Trail, but hiking along this trail is very enjoyable. Rito Frijoles flows through this area, and there are some delightful whitewater spots on Rio Embudo. Just can't
| get enough of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. There's some flowing water nearby, Rito Jaroso is a stream you can have a look at during your stay, and camping at Borrego Mesa Campground is always a wonderful experience.
