  We all need to get out in nature once in a while and Rio Medio Trail in Mora County, New Mexico is a perfect place for getting out. While visiting this area in New Mexico it's a good idea to go hiking too. Rio Medio Trail gets very little rainfall; most of the rain falls during August, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains.
Rio Embudo is a wonderful whitewater spot close to Rio Medio Trail, and Rio Medio Trail
    is a great site to visit for more than one day, Trampas Medio Campground is a great site to camp nearby. Rio Medio Trail is a trail quite far from Santa Fe but it is one of many great trails in this area.
For the period of the months of summer, highs usually are in the 90's
at Rio Medio Trail. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. All through the winter the highs are usually in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Rio Medio Trail fall into the 10's. And if that's not enough there's loads more enjoyable things to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. You can run the rapids of Rio Santa Cruz near Rio Medio Trail; Trampas Trailhead Campground is a tremendous campground nearby.
