There are some good whitewater spots on Rio Santa Cruz, and do go to Rio Capulin if you're here at Rio Nambe Trail. The cheerful people of Santa Fe like to hang out close by, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Rio Embudo.

| Nambe Trail is mostly a pretty dry location; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February on the other hand is the driest. At Rio Nambe Trail during the months of summer highs are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Rio Nambe Trail.
