| | You'll have to go far from Santa Fe to get to Rio en Medio Trail but hiking is such a fun thing to do and this is a great place to do that. A great spot to camp here at Rio en Medio Trail is Big Tesuque Campground. Not much rain falls here at Rio en Medio Trail; through the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is regularly the driest month.
There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Rio Embudo; Santa Fe National Historic Trail is a good national park. Through the long summer days at Rio en Medio Trail temperatures are generally |
in the 90's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's while Rio en Medio Trail night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. A visit to New Mexico is not complete without some hiking.
