San Lorenzo Trail is located quite a long drive from Los Alamos but many people like to hike here to be close to nature. All through the long summer days highs here at San Lorenzo Trail reach the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's while San Lorenzo Trail nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. There are many hiking trails |
in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, it's a great hiking area. Gallina Creek flows through this neighborhood, and San Lorenzo Trail is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Juniper Campground is a splendid local campground. Near San Lorenzo Trail you find El Banco del
| Apache which is a perfect site to have a look at; you can run the rapids of Rio Grande. At San Lorenzo Trail you don’t see much rainfall; during the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Yeah, come up here to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains for a tremendous time.
