  Hitting the trails is always a fun thing to do and if you happen to be in Grant County of New Mexico, Signal Peak Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. New Mexico has so much to offer nature lovers. A long drive separates Silver City from Signal Peak Trail, but if you're looking for a good place to go hiking this is a good choice.
Coming to this river is always a good idea. If time allows, Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument is a national park worth going to. There's so much to do here at Signal Peak Trail that you need
    to camp here for a while, Cherry Creek Campground is a brilliant place for that. Don't leave Signal Peak Trail without first paying a visit to McMillan Spring, and during your trip here you'll meet some people from Silver City for sure. Yeah, come up here to the Black Range for
a wonderful time. Get your pulse rate up on the splendid whitewater of Gila River, and you can stay the night at McMillan Campground.
Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the Black Range, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. Not much rain falls here at Signal Peak Trail; the wettest month of the year is regularly July, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is April.
Summertime highs at Signal Peak Trail mostly tend to be in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's, and night lows at Signal Peak Trail during the wintertime typically drop into the 10's.
