  In New Mexico you never run out of outdoors fun. Summertime at Spring Canyon Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Spring Canyon Trail are in the 10's. Float down the rapids of Gila River in a kayak, and a spree to Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument is recommended.
Camping is available at Pine Flats Campground, and Trout Creek is in close proximity to Spring Canyon Trail and is always a diversion
    to stop by. There are plenty of people from Silver City here at Spring Canyon Trail; Lower Spring Canyon is a splendid place to spend some time. It's a long drive from Silver City to Spring Canyon Trail but it is a really good trail.
And if you're still looking for more outdoors
fun things just keep reading. If you come at the right time of year, Gila River offers some fine whitewater. Spring Canyon Trail is pretty dehydrated generally; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and April on the other hand is the driest. If you came for an overnight stay Mesa Campground is a nice place to camp, and Cow Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at.
