  New Mexico has so much to offer nature lovers. If you came for an overnight stay Upper End Campground is a tremendous place to camp, and you can run the rapids of Gila River. Man, is there plenty of fun things to do in the Black Range. Why not camp at Mesa Campground if you're here at The Military Road, and a trip to The Military Road wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Railroad Spring.
Visiting Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and during your tour here you'll meet some people from
    Silver City for sure. Pretty far from Silver City you find The Military Road but when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person. Summer brings highs in the 80's to The Military Road, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime comes
with highs in the 50's; through the dark hours in the winter at The Military Road temperatures drop to the 10's.
When was the last time you got out in nature a bit? The Military Road in Grant County, New Mexico is just what you need. The Military Road is generally a reasonably dried out spot; July is the month that gets the most rain while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the Black Range where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains.
