  When was the last time you got out in nature a bit? Trampas Trail in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico is the outdoors at it's best. Trampas Trail is a long drive away from Taos but hiking it is great fun any time. Trampas Trail is commonly a relatively waterless spot; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; the driest month of the year is January. High temperatures at Trampas Trail during the warm months are in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. For the duration of the winter
    the highs are commonly in the 30's, and overnight lows at Trampas Trail during the winter typically descend into the 0's.
So much fun stuff to do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, too great to be true. A great location for whitewater paddling close to Trampas Trail is
Rio Embudo, and a great location to camp here at Trampas Trail is Trampas Trailhead Campground. In the Sangre De Cristo Mountains there are many great hiking trails, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. New Mexico has lots of outdoors activities.
Some of the water close by flows, like Rio San Leonardo, and Ojo del Oso is always fun to check out. If you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rio Grande, and why not camp at Trampas Medio Campground while you're here at Trampas Trail.
