| | Hey, time for a hike don’t you think? if you happen to be in Grant County of New Mexico, Turkey Creek Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. You'll have to go far from Silver City to get to Turkey Creek Trail but it's one of those places where hiking is great. There are many hiking trails in the San Francisco Mountains where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. Through the summer months highs here at Turkey Creek Trail reach the 90's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. All through the winter |
highs are ordinarily in the 50's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Turkey Creek Trail temperatures plunge to the 20's.
A visit to New Mexico is not complete without some hiking. Turkey Creek Trail is pretty waterless frequently; the month with most of the
| rain is July while April is frequently the driest month.
All the outdoors fun things in the San Francisco Mountains will keep you coming back persistently. Dipping Vat Campground is a splendid campground nearby; there are some splendid whitewater spots on Gila River. If you came for an overnight stay Scorpion Corral Campground is a splendid spot to camp, and if you come at the right time of year, Gila River offers some great whitewater.
