  A visit to New Mexico is not complete without some hiking. Turkey Creek Trail is located quite a long drive from Silver City but it's one of those places where hiking is great. There's so much to do here at Turkey Creek Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Scorpion Corral Campground is a magnificent place for that, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Gila River. Turkey Creek Trail gets very little rain; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and April is when it's the driest.
Throughout
    the days of summer highs here at Turkey Creek Trail reach the 90's while night lows are generally in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Turkey Creek Trail. We all need to get out in nature once in a while and Turkey
Creek Trail in Grant County, New Mexico is just the place. There are many hiking trails in the San Francisco Mountains, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains.
Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the San Francisco Mountains. If you came to camp Dipping Vat Campground is a nice site to do that.
