No problem, Water Canyon Trail in Los Alamos County, New Mexico is a really good place to spend some time. Water Canyon Trail is located quite a long drive from Los Alamos but it is a good trail.
Visiting Bandelier National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. There's so much to do here at Water Canyon Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Juniper Campground is a great location for that. There are some glorious
    whitewater spots on Rio Chama, and a tour to American Spring will fill your spirit with tremendous feelings. Hiking trails like this one are plentyful in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains.
If you come at the right time of year,
Rio Grande offers some good whitewater; the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Pajarito Spring. Water Canyon Trail is usually a pretty dried out place; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is May. You absolutely ought to adore Water Canyon Trail.
