Greg: Given the lat/lon coordinates stated, I'd guess they're referring to what's known on the NYNJTC maps as the Breakneck Mountain Trail in Harriman SP. 'BMT' is painted on a rock at the southern terminus.
Glen: Breakneck is on the other side of the Hudson River from Rockland County, at the junctions of Putnam and Dutchess Counties. Camping is avaialable at a great hike-in hike-out campground, on the connecting Fishkill Rige, called Malouf's Mountain Sunset Camp (see their web site).
